Re: FS-18 "Bare Bones"

All this for a boat you are going to give away :!: You are either A: getting tuned up for something much bigger/fancier or B: that is one hell of a buddy. I have some really good friends but I am not sure any of them should plan on getting a boat any time soon

Re: knottyBuoyz III The TW28 Project

I know it was a lot of work getting the beam and hoist set up but you are going to love it now. You will wonder how you managed without it. And the really nice thing is how much it saves the old back :D I am really lazy. I have a larger chain fall and a small 12 volt winch on a beam. For smaller stu...

Re: Row 13 build

I have never built one of those so take this with a grain of salt. I believe you should stitch the bottom and all the side panels together. Do not hard mount things first. You need to be able to move the panels to ensure fairness. No two pieces ever bend the same so you need a little wiggle room. Fa...

Re: Row 13 build

Ask away, that is what the folks are here for. And as has been said many times before the only dumb question is the one not asked.
This a great father and son project. He will remember it forever.

Re: Working Time of Marinepoxy

My vote would be for the slow also. I use fast almost all of the time but I work indoors in 60f almost all the time. And even at 60f if you do not get it out of the cup quickly it will gel on you too quickly. Another big advantage of slow is no amine blush. I would use slow just for that reason alon...

Re: Eric's C21

Hate to hear about the CNC break down and its costs. That would put a serious damper on the boat building budget
On the up side you have a whole bunch of folks eagerly looking forward to primer pictures.
