Re: Lithium Retrofit
I'm interested in the Wakespeed ws500 and will read with coffee this am. What engines are on your boat if I may? Are they inboard? The Rego are about 110lbs for 400amp hours. I primarily chose them because of the self heating. But price played into it as well, I got in on their initial pricing whic...

Wow! Well done sir! I may have to come see her. A side trip to Lake Clark wasn't in the cards last summer (we were too early for the bears at Brooks Falls), but it sure is a trip with a magnet pulling on my mind. Re: Builders Fs 17 (How does it ride)
I think there is a video of my fa17 on the info page. If you can't find it let me know and I'll find it for you. I love the way it rides but don't have a lot to compare it to other than aluminum Lunds of the same size. It rides night and day smoother than those and is so much quieter in the waves. I...

Re: BASIC electrical system info.
To add to the confusion. Have you considered a "solar generator"? If your main use is charging your laptop, a properly sized one with a folding "briefcase" panel or two should be plenty? You may not even need the panels, depending on how much long you go out at a time. The term i...

No experience here, but old internet stories say you may have better luck insuring a custom boat than a homebuilt boat.

Looks good!!
I'll bet you could gain a little space by letting air out of the tires getting out.

You can also spray poly vinyl alcohol over it which creates an air barrier and lets the gelcoat cure.
