Re: Fitz 21 CC Transom Stringer Sole R&R
The T-Top is on the boat and temporarily bolted down for the trip back to Tampa. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/24192/normal_20140511_120950~0.jpg I'm really happy with the design and am glad the guys down there talked me into the Black Powder Coat http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userp...

Re: 14' skiff transom core question
Check my calcs, but if you figure 48 inches by 20 inches, by about 1/16 inch thick, would be 120 cubic inches or about 33oz of volume, so about a quart of mixed putty would be a good guesstimate in my opinion if you can get it clamped up good and flat. I'm not sure how much the fillers take up by vo...

Re: Fitz 21 CC Transom Stringer Sole R&R
A few more pix as paint prep proceeds (say that three times) one side done in 3 coats of primer after hitting the old blue gel coat with a good round of 120G on the DA. I finally pulled it out to get some good pix. Should finish the priming this weekend. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/24...

Re: 24 Sea Bird CC
Just to add a thought, that boat also appears a bit narrow for its length. Raising the CG will affect the amount of roll, which is not good for a grouper digger (or most offshore boats for that matter.) A guy I know figured that out after adding a hard top and tower and a ton of other accessories on...

Very Nice work! YOU'll get a lot of good use from that setup. Good design, simple, and practical use of space.
Let's see it mounted up!

Re: 24 Sea Bird CC
Sounds good as long as it doesn't raise the center of gravity too much. An engineer would have to answer that one.
I'm looking forward to wATCHING THAT ONE.

Re: 24 Sea Bird CC
Looks like a cool project. I like the lines a lot. I am not an expert on I/O's or inboards, but I was thinking about your statement that you want a flat deck with no steps. I assume you are talking about the foredeck area. One thing to keep in mind for fishing and just in general. Since the hull ste...
