Jerry beat me to the punch. Aquasport had that as an option in the early '70's. There are still a few around. A lot of guys fill them in on rebuilds, some don't. They have lasted 30+ years.

I would think that gunwales/freeboard wouldn't be that difficult to modify. Notice that none of these really have the engine (outboard) positioned as it would be in a true mullet boat. This may be a bit trickier, but you could modify that to your liking too. There is the OD18 on this site... unless ...

I looked for a S&G mullet boat too. Spira's is the closest I have found, but it is ply on frame. I think that they are semi-displacement hulls too. Email him and ask about moving the motor well to the front. I really think that the previous poster was correct in his statement that they are dorys...

Yeah, what rick said. I have had a PC 5" R.O. sander and after almost 10 years of heavy abuse it is finally about to give in. Someone gave me a dewalt, and it is fine too. You will difinately want the R.O. sander for your build - they are the round ones.

Don't worry I believe both of y'all. It is just seems to be a substantial departure from other many of the other plan prices.

I am really looking forward to seeing the completed plans. This could be a wonderful longer term project.

This sounds REALLY coo. $600 is a heck of a lot more. What will the discount be?

good advice. The water will expand in there as it freezes possibly separating layers of ply or glass from the ply. Epoxy may be more resiliant in this capacity than polyester.

Why did you have to take in all the invoices, and why would you only take in those reciepts mentioned? I am curious as to the registration process of these boats in Fl. Thanks.

Why the discrepancy? Do homebuilders tend to add more weight?
