Re: D15 Build in Rockport TX
I would fill the weave in your compartments with a slurry then hit them with the tinted epoxy. If you don't the weave will hold dirt. I got lazy and didn't do my rear compartment and regret it now. I agree 100% :!: takes very little time, just knock down the weave with some 60/80 grit real quick, t...

Re: FS 18 Deck Modifications
You can extend the deck out over the hullsides, that's pretty simple.

Re: D15 Build in Rockport TX
I would probably just cover the PVC with a strip of biax. One layer 1708 or a couple layer of the 12 oz. I will make a good stiffener.
Wet the strip out on a table, then lay it over the PVC and gently push into place with a brush.

Yes, that is my understanding. The bond should be fine, nothing to worry about. Is the finish the only negative impact?

I have not sprayed it, but I know there is a thread here somewhere where a builder documented his successful spraying. I will try to find it.

Re: 28 BERTRAM OUTBOARD CONVERSION
Well, no pics but I glassed/tabbed the underside of the gunnels to the belly band and ribs this weekend. What a PAIN! used more than 100 12" pieces. This got me from the bow to the back of the old cabin. About 16' worth of gunnel on each side. The gunnels are really strong. Just have to finish...

Re: 1982 Seasquirt 183 rebuild
Once I am able to get this deck out, the idea was to replace the transom core first and then progress to the stringers if needed. that is a good plan. I was intending to bulkhead the stringer setup to capsule the fuel sell and allow a larger fish box forward of that- also bringing the necessary par...
