I'm in Harrisonburg, about 3 hr from you. I travel through your area a good bit going to and from Nags Head where I use to live. I've had a boat in Nags Head until this past year when I decided to build one. Email me at capthassler@yahoo.com if you want to talk about your build.

Thanks Mike, my intent is to sandwich the MDF between 2x4's and through bolt. I'm building a fairly ridgid jig that will be able to be moved around with casters without compromising its integerity.

Jacques, CS25 Station location

Jacques, I'm building the CS25 Long Deck closed transom. On dwg E248/4 the distance between frame 'H' and the Transom is 22 1/2"(I understand this is for the open transom). On dwg B248/2_CT the distance between frame 'H' and the Transom is 6 3/8". Is it safe to say that station 'G' stays i...

I'm gathering materials for my CS25 jig, and I'm considering using the MDF for the temporary stations(I've elected not to use the final pieces). Has anyone used this stuff on a boat this size and if so what was your experience?

Thanks

Jacques, CS 25 Transom Camber

Jacques, I’m building the CS25 long deck closed transom version. If your looking at the stern of the boat the camber on the top of the transom is more pronounced than I desire. If I were to flatten the top of the transom somewhat, knowing that I also will need to do the same to frame H and maybe som...

Scarfing

I'm building the CS25. I noticed that the method mentioned for joining together the long panels is a splice with glass applied to both sides. Why not scarf the joint.

CS25 Closed Transom MW Side

Jacques, I am building the CS25 with a closed transom and twin OB's. Can you give me the horizontal location of the motor well sides that are located between Frame H and the transom? Part two of the question, do I have any flexability as to this location. I'm trying to intergrate a fishbox in the tr...

CS25 Stations vs Open Version Frames

Jacques, I'm confused on which Dwg's to use when cutting my stations for the Open Version(Short Deck). On dwg E248/4 all stations are shown(A-H) I understand 'H' is different, per earlier posts. My question is if you look at dwg B248/2_OV(Frames for the open version) the dimensions are different on ...
