Yamaha Ignition Switch

I have abandoned the OEM 703 side mount controls that came with this '03 115 in exchange for a MT3 Morse Control, so I need an ignition switch, and a switch for tilt and trim. Can anyone confirm that Yamaha part 704-82570-12-00 will work? The 703 controls were wired to the engine via a 10 pin cord. ...

Re: 1984 Grady White Overnighter 20 - Transom Rebuild

Popular opinion in boat repair circles is to use coosa for the transom. Very expensive, but will never rot. AC Fir plywood is at the bottom of the list of acceptable materials to use which should be available from a building supply house, and maybe even an orange or blue home center. Epoxy, and mult...

Re: 1984 Grady White Overnighter 20 - Transom Rebuild

Going from the inside will allow you to maintain the integrity of the transom glass. Once you get it gutted and the transom prelaminated from the inside, re configuring the inside will be a snap. Plywood and 12oz glass will be more than sufficient. Mocking it up with cardboard a few times will help ...

Re: C19 in Richmond, VA

Donor boat. Acquired. Bought from a friend of a friend. Motor is an ‘03 with ~400 hours. The trailer is functional, and they’re a few bits that I can salvage from the boat. The rest of the hull carcass will likely end up in pieces. Writing that out sounds wasteful, so if anyone is looking for 1978 2...

Score!

Looks like lots of good glue surface for the deck. It will be solid. 1/2” or 3/8” deck?
