generous offer

A coworker's husband in a professional woodworker. He has offered to buy my ply and have delivered to his shop.He has even hinted at cuttin the whole thing out on his CNC macine. Is there a way this could be done from the FS17 plans alone?

Boy I'll owe him a case of beer...or two! 8)

How far out is "offshore"?

In another thread a guy asks about taking a FS14 2-3 klicks offshore to fish a reef. One of our most knowledgeable contributors said it wasn't smart. Hugh?,I am inexperienced in powerboating and saltwater in general, and HAVE done some dumb stuff, but is it dangerous to go 1.5 miles out in a 14ft boat?...

Re: best/lightest 25hp 4-stroke?

How is it compared to a 4 stroke noise wise?

Do you know if the 25 and 30 are the same weight?

best/lightest 25hp 4-stroke?

The more I think about it,the more I think I should limit the next build to 25hp.what motor would you choose and why?

I fully understand the practicality of an old 25 two smoke but I just don't want to go that way.

Anybody have any experience wi the e-tec 25?

Re: a tale of two boats

Guys, I tried to put a smiley in the address line but could not. Please,I'm not a troll! ST21 Vs LB22 Ease of build: slight nod to LB22 efficency: slight nod to SV21 Total cost:nod to LB22 Draft: nod to SV21 Designed speed range: EXACTLY THE SAME Conclusion: If the SV21 cost 5K more to build and gets...

Re: lets talk power

Well,to start with I'm floored. The uncluttered cockpit is amazing! This thing looks to all the world to have no means of propulsion! Back in the day, 1975-85 there were a huge number of budget sailboats built in the 30ft range. If we throw out the ones powered by the Atomic Four (that a whole differe...

Re: FS 14 - First Timer

This may have been discused before, but did you build in a mini storage facility? There is one close to me and it would fit a 25+ ft build and it is cheap.I've been wondering about this.
