First of all it has been a long haul for you and my congratulations on the launch!!
I loved the pictures from pulling it out from the work shed all the way to the water. I hope you have a wonderful time with the boat and keep posting about your trips.

It amazes me that you and Mrs GB are still making long sailing trips. Most sailors have aged out and into power boats when they were 20-30 years younger than you guys. I am sure you leave lots of crews shaking their heads wondering how the old guys left the kids in their wake.

Are you sure that is not blush? Try cleaning it off with some warm water. I know most folks work in warmer conditions but all my work is done at 60f. Does not seem to matter both fast and slow are hard by the next morning. I use 90% fast so blush is something I keep an eye out for. My temp is steady...

Great Sandy looks like a rocket sled in that picture.
Very happy to learn you had a great trip and all are safe at home now. Many of us worry if we don't hear from you in a while

Re: Finished boat weight poll
It seems to me that JM like Renn Tolman enjoyed designing light. simple, boats that preformed well with low power. And just like the Tolmans most of us over build or trick out our boats and then put too much power on them. But that is part of building your own boat, you get to build it the way you wa...

Re: Where are you building?
Sounds like you have the desire to build but finding the space is going to be tough. I had a similar problem years ago. I built a nice shop even before I had a house. I was single so I built a little cabin next to the shop. Might have been the best time of my life
