Went with the transom mount, worked well mounted to a 1/2" star board mounting plate i made for the transom.

Most of us use fiberglass splices on long panels , no scarfs .

I also run a bay star Hydraulic cylinder and yes i can tilt it all the way up no problem . I bought it here
thru the store.

I have the bobs manual jack-plate in black with 5 1/2" set back mounted on 1/2" starboard mounting plate for a total of 6" set back. The cavitation plate on the motor is 1" above the bottom of the transom. i run a 4 bladed cupped prop. The jack plate has been on the boat in the f...

I am pretty sure it was the kerosene dragons they were worried about not propane , cant think of where i read it.
