Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA
I haven’t mentioned plywood but have said fiberglass over wood when asked. Foremost just flat said no home made boats. I have a quote request in to Hagerty but expect it to be pricy. I do have 300K liability, uninsured boater and the max they’ll do for medical payments for $100/year with Progressive...

Collision insurance rejection again
Especially if they’re insuring my liability in this home built craft of questionable origin.

Collision insurance rejection again
Three strikes and I’m out. Geico, Progressive and now Amica have rejected to insure my FS19 for collision. I’m just asking for the build cost value. Progressive currently insures liability and medical. Amica told me to try Formost which I will do and I know Hagaerty will do it at a premium. Amica gu...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA
This one I now believe is a striped bass (non-hybrid). Both taste excellent to me. My best way to cook is roll fillet pieces in melted butter then bread crumbs. Salt and pepper them. Bake at 410 degrees about 15 min on a greased baking sheet. Pull out when coating on the top gets brown to your likin...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA
It’s still hanging in boat slip. Pic earlier is pre flip just to show location. Should have used this pic. Arrows show approximate location of cracks but they are not visible in pic. They’re on the top surface of that spray rail. Underside of this rail is fine as is both top and bottom of port side....

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA
If this is the only location limited to one surface of the spray rail the repair should be unnoticeable.

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA
I think it probably flexed. It feels a little soft under the cracked paint. Must have been an air space. I don’t see any others but will check it out thoroughly.

Small crack repair on spray rail?
Two 4 - 6 inch cracks have appeared in paint on one of the spray rails (see red lines on pic). This pic is just to show location on the top side of the rail not in the joints at the hull surface. The spray rails were glued on then covered with biax 12 oz tape after the hull was tape and cloth covere...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA
Most gracious comment VT Jeff. Don’t generally sit still much unless it’s in a deer stand, a pick up or of course a boat.
