Re: CT 22

Thank you Jacques. If I take this on I plan to widen the beam of the tunnel by 10% the entire length of the hull.

CT 22

I am familiar with the tutorial for scaling an entire hull. Would scaling only the below sections of the CT 22 be possible? All interior decking would be adjusted for the additional 10% width and possibly an extra frame added to the interior of each hull due to the increased length. The width of the...

Re: Phantom 16/18

Panga marine made my console I glassed it to the sole. Build your own ply/glass console it will be lighter. Day trip makes the hatch gutters and lids. It is a lot of extra work to fair them in but they are nice and my compartments are dry no leaks.

Re: Phantom 16/18

You will have to build a lighter version than I did to use a 60 hp. I have 2 layers of 12oz biaxial glass on the outside and inside of the hull. To save weight use 1 layer as per the plans. Re: Painting aluminum

I tried the Emc primer in the past and got more orange peel when spraying. The Emc primer was very hard once cured and was more difficult to sand than system 3.

Re: Painting aluminum

He is a machinist. It is a nice boat but I prefer a ply and epoxy boat over aluminum.

Re: Painting aluminum

My brother in law built this aluminum flat boat and he convinced me to help him with the paint. I warned him that I have not painted aluminum before and this will be an experiment. We used the total boat aluminum etch wash and this is one coat of system three primer sprayed on. I sanded the first co...

Re: Phantom 16/18

My PH18 runs 43-44mph with a 115 yamaha. This is with 29 gallons of fuel, 3 group 24 batteries, 40lbs of ice, and fishing gear. Last weekend I had myself and 2 other guys on board, 20 gallon livewell full with live shrimp, ice, fishing gear, still ran 35-38mph. We ran 55 miles and only burned 10 gal...

Re: Anyone Fishing?

I have spent the last few weekends socially distancing with the perch. My daughter and wife love fried perch and so do I.
