I have yet to put the boat in the water. My guess is that the motor should easily clear the water if tilted up with the jackplate in the raised position. I will post a picture of the motor tilted when I conduct a water test on Labor Day weekend.

This is the Bob's 6 inch action series jackplate. The baystar ram and tubing clears the transom with the motor bolted on the 3rd bolt hole. I would go higher on the transom with the jackplate if I were doing this over again.
