I did not enjoy holding the wheel under the vessels hoghest point.
You could also keep a thick pair of rubber gloves onboard. :D

I am guessing you do not want to vent outside so buy a ductless, 12Volt RV hood vent. Easy to install and provides more lighting.

I used a garboard plug so no tube but threaded brass hole and used a hexagon plug that uses a Allen wrench. Limited access to bilge at the center of the transom.

Not knowing if you are going with a stationary tank or not, portable is the easiest to use without all the filler tube and vent restrictions. Now that it is becoming winter here along the Texas gulf coast, (dipping into the 70s during the day already! brrrr) I need to start thinking of spray rails and a bigger wind screen.

Hard to tell how far the stove sets under the cabinet but if you need a heat deflector, Jaysen's idea is the best bet. The idea is to not let the heat ever reach the surface of the cabinet. My warehouse in the Houston heat would get over 110 degrees in the summer and other than the epoxy pouring closer like water, it always worked fine. But even slow hardener had working time of fast. I used weight and scales to measure the amounts due to the viscosity changing with temperature. A few ...
