The 4" straight fairlead came in today and I think it will work. Holding in place I could move the line from side to side and it was still a fairly straight pull.
Thank you to everyone that shared their insights on this. Next will be the post in the front!

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat
This morning the glass/epoxy was hard enough to flip and attach to the frame. So I didn't waste any time using 5200 to attach the sleeve to the frame making sure everything was sealed good. Then trimmed the glass to do the outside and attach the frame with some 6oz glass to make sure the sides of th...

Re: FS14 Bayou boat
"I coated all cleats on three sides before installing. The fourth side is the glue side and when you glue them in you are done."
Makes sense to me! But is it taboo to talk about it or does everyone just glue them in and expect them to not get wet?

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat
So I was not able to wait for the fast cure to get to hard before I put a pair of gloves on and went to work. Added fillets to the inside seams, then trimmed some 6oz glass to fit on the inside. IN ONE PIECE! 8O I also had a 1 inch over lap for all the seams so should be water proof. Folded the glas...
