Re: Hello there
What do you want/need to do to it to get it on the water and be seaworthy? There are a lot of restorers on here that will help give you guidance, but you must be realistic about what you are willing to do to make it seaworthy if that is what you intend to do.

Re: Bulbous bows
You really need a couple of friends to help you sea trail things. Having someone run the boat at different speeds while you watched from another boat would be a huge help. And if the testing could be filmed it would be even better. I know it is hard to get people together to make it happen but it w...

Don't cut a head hole in the smaller forward bulkhead cut a foot hole in the aft one as it is wider and will be stronger. Tom Hahaha Tom-the forward BH is the hull or a chain locker. You are killin me man. You both have a valid point as to why NOT to cut a hole in the forward bulkhead....or hull. B...

Re: Custom built coolers
Have you considered a chest freezer and build more insulation around it, customize the lid and just mount it on the boat. Freeze custom size blocks in the freezer and just plug it into AC a few days before your fishing trip and when return to AC power. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hotpoint-6-9-Cu-Ft-Man...

Re: Custom built coolers
Will your house systems support some sort of refrigeration system? This is for my skiff. So, not really, unless I could run something while the outboard is running. Say 5 amps That is enough to keep your phone charged and call for door delivery of ice. And for me...beer! :) Store the 6 blocks of ic...

Oh crap...I read it wrong, it's a total of 90 pounds of ice and water...I was thinking it was 90 pound per block and there were 6 big block of ice.
I will go back to learning to read again.

Re: Custom built coolers
If you are trying to keep fish cold in 540 pounds of water, some where around 65 gallons of fresh water? Is there any reason you can't use a live well and keep the fish alive for the 5 days or so? If the boat stays in water just pull fresh oxygenated water in, waste and deplete oxygen out. I added v...
