Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat

Thank Richard!

You guys have also had a pretty stormy fall so far. The temp here is all over the place. 55 this morning and the weekend highs will be low 80s but sunny! Bayou clean up Saturday and a big tour Sunday! Will be a busy weekend outside!

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat

Thanks Jeff and GB. I am bespoken the heck out of this build but that is why we build instead of buy so it is our own. Piperdown my boat will have two bilge pumps. The primary will be under the sole for most the water that gets into the boat will be collected there and then a 900 gph pump that...

Re: My cx 25

It is a nice clean and big boat.

I remember some pictures of a couple of kids helping you. Now that it is flipped and the frames are going in do you take a head count every time you finish for the day? :D

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

Oh, and a lot of electrical stuff comes telling you what it's power requirements are as for as protection. Like you need to use XX size fuse to protect it. Write all those numbers down will help you figure how much battery capacity you will need. Draw out a map of how you want your electric to run. ...

Re: Epoxy Fillet Tool

We all have tools that we have found work best for the way we like to do some things but I am still on a quest to find that tool when it comes to "finish" fillets. One thing that Eric's tool will help is the angle you hold it is not that important so corners, double 90 degrees, will be cle...

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat

So the temperatures are starting to climb a little, I think it reached mid 70s, but I finished doing some prep work and finally painted the anchor locker. I thought the square drive screw would make it easier to install the covers on the junction boxes but they are still a little difficult to tighte...

Re: FS 17 - Raised Sheer

Looks good and fitting everything before building is always a good idea.

I did not have a lot of fun filleting on the inside either.

Re: Franks SK14 from Japan

Really nice looking box Frank. Should do nicely for a fish finder and even some nav lights if you decide.

For my kayak fishing days I used 2 12V deer feeder batteries in a soft sided camera case. It would power the gps/FF and the 360° light for a few days and still have more than 60% most the time.

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

Here are some articles on the matter. You don't have to buy their stuff but their articles are pretty good info.
