Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

Thank's, Noles. Your boat is looking really good, too. I've been working a little at a time. I glued in the live well floors, and walls. I'll get those tapped, and then install the insulation, cleats, and remaining walls. These fish boxes sure are chewing up a lot of plywood. I'm not sure how yet, b...

Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

Been working a little at a time. I have the sole glued, and glassed, and been working on framing projects from front to back. The floor is 3/8" meranti, glassed on both sides, with 12 oz. It is very solid. I picked up some fiberglass from St Pete, that doesn't have the extra stitching. It stret...

Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

Thanks Gary.
It's fun to spend time with our daughter too. I just hope to get this boat on the water by the time she's old enough to drive it!

Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

I'm still here guys. I work on the boat a little at a time. I just don't have the time that I used to have, to play in the garage. I've finished up the sole cleats, chase tubes, poured foam, and cut out the sole, 3/8" aquatech. I glassed the bottom side with overlapping layers of 12 oz. biax. T...

Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

Did you fix your rocker I saw on the other thread you had about it? If so, I saw you were going to use glass. How many layers did it take? I have the exact same amount on my GF16. Jacques and Larry said I didn't need to fix that little amount of rocker and Jacques said it is actually designed into ...

Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

Thanks fellas. I actually mixed some epoxy yesterday! Man, how I've missed the smell of Marine Epoxy! I sanded all of the sole cleats smooth, and coated with one coat of epoxy. Today I sanded all the runs, and drips, then I took inventory of what I need to order from Eboat, to get this girl rolling ...

Re: Snookiehunter's gf18 w/ tunnel

Hey, thanks Glossyblack. She's tucked away in the garage for now. My daughter was born on Dec 22. I paused the build, so I'd have plenty of "just in case" money. And since then, I've really only been focused on trying to figure out how to be a dad. All is well with both, her and mommy, so ...
