Re: Preparing for GT27 build - questions
Oh right. About the runners...have you ever built a house floor? Span ratings of 3/4 ply are typically 16"...you can go up to 2', but runners are just needed opposite floor supports.. I don't have the plans for that great rig, but floor spans are needed where people will walk. Forgive me if I a...

Re: Preparing for GT27 build - questions
Pretty sure you benefit with the rubrail. Most of the ISO and class rule crap out there would require something special at both the intersections of the horizontal hull/deck and the vertical. This is to avoid the loading of the cabin above to affect the deck. It can be managed with braces or cabinet...

Re: 99 Explorer 19tv restoration question
Went around today and cleaned up and tied stringers into transom and got P&S stringers glassed up. Next I will be installing the front of the transom box to enable me to install the center stringer. Ran out of epoxy today so I’ll be once again waiting for the brown truck. Itsabigjob Travis. 170...

Re: Looking for advice
Pondering my next project, something pretty damn big. Should I build, rebuild or buy new? I’m wanting an offshore capable boat in the 27-32’ range. I am a huge fan of the Bertrams. The only issue is they cost a fortune to run around in. You like fishing, so build a fishing boat or refurb a great on...

Re: 99 Explorer 19tv restoration question
Just realize water goes through a pinhole and if you want to remove it with a bilge pump; you have to make a place for it to flow and collect. My two hulls have no pump in the back, but I expect I might need one someday; so I built a well if I can't keep em dry.

I am. But only as a path for any water that gets below. If you are confident in a dry bilge and no leaks than foam it up.Explorer 19TV wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:11 pm Fallguy, I’m lost on what you are saying, I thought your were talking about the gutters for a form to glass over.
