Thank you Jaques,
I forgot the fiberglass makes it really strong. Bytheway Bondo gave me the same answer that he built the stem per plan out of one piece of 13 mm.

AD14 Question for Jaques
Hallo Jaques, I have a specific question about the AD14: On the nesting plan sheet it is suggested to cut out of a 13 mm plywood the rudder twice, the transom 3 times, but the stem only once. I tend to laminate 2 pieces to have more strength in it like the rudder. Should I do this ? ( I am thinking ...

Re: AD 14 KIELGE
Hallo everybody, I have a specific question to all Adelie builders: On the nesting plan sheet is the suggestion to cut out of a 13 mm plywood the rudder twice, the transom 3 times, but the stem only once. Did you all build your Adelies with just a 13 mm thick stem ? I tend to laminate 2 pieces to ha...

Re: AD16 Karenina
Hallo Stuff,
The inside of your boat looks really great , I wish I were that far.
Hopefully I can get Monstaliner here in Europe.
How big did you make the inspection holes 15 cm ( 6 inches ) diameter or is it only 10 cm ( 4 inches )?

Re: AD16 Karenina
Hi Stuff, Nice to see your progress and as you know I am building an AD14 and therefore Your pictures are an example for me how my boat must look when I am at the same stage. I have one question after carefully looking at the foto: It looks as if there are 2 pipes coming out of your floorboard, one ...

AD 14 Fiberglass ounces per what ?
Hi, I want to order all the necessary fiberglass for my AD 14. Now I have the following problem: The plan asks for 12, 9 and 4 ounzes weights. Is this per square foot or yard ? Once I know that I can convert it to our metric system. I can order in Europe only grams per square metre. I am sure one of...

Re: Wood for Battens

But I can tinker over it still for a while until I recover from a slipped disk which I got carring my balla...

Re: AD 14 KIELGE
Thank You Bondo and Das Boot, The two of you are teaching me hopefully right up to the end of my boat. Thanks for the tip that the strength comes from the outside fiberglass. I will just fiberglass the big inside panels of the centerboard case and put enough resin on the battens and I will be using ...
