Kiwi Grip Grey

Hi guys, I'm going to redo my pontoon boat floor. Not the wood all ready did that a few years back. I put white kiwi grip on it. Now I want to change it to grey? I was just going to clean the white real good and put the grey over it. Do any of you see a reason why this would not work? Also I couldn'...

Re: FS-18 - "Bare Bones"

If I was looking for a strong back like this one and was going to have to build one, I'd drive 200 miles easy to pick up one AA had made. You could not come close to building one for the cost of fuel. Material would cost more plus labor, not to mention AA quality :D AA, boat looks great, you did a f...

Re: Narfi's FS17 - Build Thread

dont know anything about that year, but I bought a new 2010 60hp Etec and I love it. Only problem I ever had with it was a coil went bad right after I bought it. Didn't strand me, just wouldn't idle right. Replaced under warranty and not a hic up since. But I believe the 2010 is a different motor th...

Re: OD18 - NH

Hi Larry, I knew I had seen it done that way but couldn't remember who's build I had seen it in. I am considering the same sort of thing if I run out of room for the fill and vent pipes as I'm trying to keep the casting deck a little lower than the plans so that I can get some cushions made for it....

Re: OD18 - NH

I went with a 25 gallon, but I recessed it into the sole to keep it lower. I put a drain in that goes to the bilge.

Re: OD18 - NH

The plan doesn't call for glass on the frames or stringers. I used 12 oz bias tape on all of them, one layer each side, per Cracker Larry's advice. Yesterday the bay got real sloppy after lunch, and I was glad I did. Nice to know it's there when you need to pound through a hard chop. Craig, I thoug...

Re: Bruce Crandall Flyer Hydroplane

Yes they will be cut out together with the decking planks, reason I glassed and faired them is because I want to try and save the cut out to make it in to a lid for storage, so cockpit will be protected from the elements and vermin during storage and trailering. Now that is really thinking ahead, W...

Re: OD18 - NH Technical Questions

I'd just go with Hydraulic steering. I went with hydraulic and I came out of the locker. In my opinion I love the Hydraulic and would do it again in a minute. :D
