Re: Vacuum Bilge Pump
My boat would be moored in a creek/ tidal area - wondering if the current in and out would be enough to drain rainwater at anchor?

Re: Full Pilot house on a GS28X or PG25C Panga?
Having re-read your initial requirements for power, I think that the GS 28 would fit the bill well and also surprise you with its efficiency. I suspect you would meet those cruise speeds with a single 150 HP so 200 would be fine. I also agree with Matt that you could build a light enough structure a...

Re: Building the C19 in Aluminum-Questions before buying plans.
WolframM... This thread brought up another "aluminum boat build question" link - and I was interested to see Jacques say that aluminum boats can weigh similar to epoxy-wood - so I guess I stand corrected on that. However, I had read it stated elsewhere on another forum that sells epoxy-woo...

Great looking build. The T top fits the lines perfectly.
I think a 115 will be the perfect engine for this hull.

Re: Building the C19 in Aluminum-Questions before buying plans.
I have read it stated elsewhere that an aluminium hill ends up weighing nearly twice what one of these hulls will weigh. Having built and owned a C19 with a 90 HP I would say that a 75 HP is on the low end of the spectrum - especially if the boat is heavier. I would aim for a 115 hp as I think it is...

Boat builders are never done - they just take a break sometimes to use their new toyDan_Smullen wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 5:20 pm . Last sheet of 1/2" Joubert. Must be close to done; no more material.

Re: Making outboard dory 18 10% larger
I’m calculating a rough 2100lbs including my motor. I’m looking to launch in Beaufort NC and do mostly island hopping, although occasionally stay inshore in the ocean once I determine my range on the boat if the weather allows. That’s why I want it to be able to handle some chop. I have no qualms w...

Re: C19 in Richmond, VA
Thank you! Feeling a little slow, but we're making progress. Great minds think alike! Regarding engine shaft length, way back when I was cutting the transom, I wish I had an appreciation for the differences between long and short shaft outboards. Had I it to do over, I would have made the cutout fo...
