Re: Prop suggestions: OB19
Called and discussed the prop pitch for the RED. Calculated the pitch increase based on a percentage of RMP increase. Or conversely, 17"\15" = 12% pitch reduction, which should result in a 12% RPM increase from 5100 to about 5700. So I went with the 15", which I was leaning towards be...

Re: Prop suggestions: OB19
The SCD 17 performance is slightly better than the aluminum 19" prop. Close enough to be the same. Not entirely unexpected after getting a better understanding of prop geometry. The alum. 19" had so much slip, the numbers were effectively a 17" prop. Moral of the story here is that if...

Re: Finishing below deck compartments
I rolled on a couple of heavy coats of tinted epoxy, after a good sanding. It fills the weave quite a bit. It's so smooth I don't have any issues with it holding dirt.

Ok. I suspected and much and tried to get powertech to confirm that answer, but they didn't. I'll exchange the red 3 for a 14". If It runs in the 5700 range, that will give me really good mid range. Thanks for the help. I'll have some more numbers on the scd in a few days.

Re: Prop suggestions: OB19
It's slightly over 30 days I think. I'll double check. Though I don't know how I'd get 37 mph our of a 13" prop. 32 is the theoretical top speed with no slip.
Looks like only 3 weeks, so I can still exchange it. Hmm.
