Re: ST21 'Skinnydip' build, and boating adventures, Noosa, Australia

There was little to no wind this morning so we motored from our overnight anchorage at Hinchinbrook Island's Cape Richards 20 nautical miles northward to Dunk Island.

Pic is of Great Sandy entering Dunk's anchorage.

https://www.community.boatbuildercentral.com/gallery/albums/userpics/87193/Ck1b.jpg Interesting Michael. Its probably an illusion from the aerial pic but I wouldn't have picked Creek 1 (marked ?) as a good large boat anchorage. Ha. We learnt years ago that with Hinchinbrook Island's Missionary Bay ...

Re: Bulbous bows

Approx what percentage of the spray coming up through the tramp is deflecting off the inner hulls, and what percentage direct from bulbs?

Re: ST21 'Skinnydip' build, and boating adventures, Noosa, Australia

Tom, next time we're sailing I'll take a few pics. We're not moving for the next day or so. A couple of pics from yesterday's passage: First is of our lunch stop at Muschula Bay, Hinchinbrook Island, where we waited for sufficient tidal height to cross the sand bar into adjacent Missionary Bay Creek...

Today we motored then sailed some 35 nautical miles from Hinchinbrook Isalnds's Haycock Island to its Creek 1 in Missionary Bay. Motored north then sailed east.

Will post pics tomorrow of Missionary Bay Creek 1, a mangrove Garden of Eden. :D

A few years ago a friend of mine and his mate over-nighted here (Haycock island in the Hinchinbrook Channel). https://community.boatbuildercentral.com/forum/app.php/gallery/image/9987/medium They were somewhat shocked to be woken in the wee hours of the morning  by a large "lizard" t...

Re: ST21 'Skinnydip' build, and boating adventures, Noosa, Australia

Thanks Tom and Lee. :D Today we sailed and motored from Orpheus Island to the Hinchinbrook Chanel - first pic. In the chanel, we dropped the pic at Haycock Island, one of our favourite all-weather anchorages - second pic. Looking forward to catching up with you Lee when we are heading back south lat...
