Thanks to both of you for the quick replies. Evan, you answered my next question before I asked it! I was trying to decide what cloth to use on the bottom panels (I'm taping seams with 6 oz biax). Would 12 oz biax (without mat) in/out on the bottom panels and 4 oz cloth in/out on the uppers (just fo...

GV11 transom

Background: I'm building a GV11, using 6566 meranti. I'm planning on using it like I've used RIB's in the past, meaning that it'll get pounded some at speed in chop, but not abused. The smaller of the two motors I have lying around is an older 18hp Evinrude. I previously owned a 9' sportboat (zodiac...

I tested the first one with a Honda 15. At 115 lbs it wasn't a problem, though you did have to move weight forward to keep it from porposing with just 1 driver. GV-11 transom weight

I've looked through old posts, and didn't find this. My apologies in advance if I missed it

What's the maximum engine weight for the GV-11? I'm not really interested in the maximum horsepower, just the max engine weight that the boat would still feel balanced with.

Thanks!

Hi - my first post - just wanted to say that I'd be interested in something like this: http://www.watertribe.com/Everglades/CP2Mudtrail.jpg From the picture I am 99% sure that is a design built to plans from another boat design company. Because it is a competitor to this site I won't post the link,...

Hi - my first post - just wanted to say that I'd be interested in something like this: http://www.watertribe.com/Everglades/CP2Mudtrail.jpg I love multihulls, raced light weight cats (Taipans) pretty competetively, but got burned out. I've been looking to build something more for recreation and expl...
