That looks familiar! I just ordered a seat and pedestal to add to my SK14. Kinda tricky getting the pedestal mounted but I'll fiddle it in. Was getting back ache sitting on cooler.

Re: Mad Dog's SK14
You know I can't remember, but I think I put a half inch or so piece of ply as a butt block underneath. I'll check later.

Re: Mad Dog's SK14
Hey MadDog, good to hear you're still at it. You may know I built the SK14 to design. I love it and was taking it to to Canyon lake for little 2 hour trips often enough 'till the lake got so low they closed my favorite ramp. I have a 5hp Tohatsu propane on the back that pushes her 10 or 12 mph and a...

Re: Pamet FS14
I used a couple of straps around the boat to hold the skeg on. Regarding quickfair. Mix up 3 Tbs (2 resin, 1 hardener) and spead it on the boat. Let it dry and and it mostly off (5 miutes trouble). You'll now have a feeling for how it works.

Yes, love the power planer. I suspect the transom on my LB22 is no better, but 10 years later there's no problem. These builds are really quite robust I think, and forgiving for us amateurs.

Re: Pedro's PG20
That last pic does look close and I'd surely keep trying. That last part at the bow might be tough and I wouldn't want to push to the point of hearing a crack! Still, I'd try a bit more, then, no problem, kerfing is easy and would make it behave very well.

Re: TX18 design
Here's a link to DaveTx's Tx18 build thread. Great boat--I went out in it once and it catches fish.

Re: Pedro's PG20
Agree with PeeWee, don't trim/cut things yet and get the sides up. They may tell a story. It's just gonna take some fiddling.
