I'll be there on Saturday too.

I'll be wearing a tan ball cap, with blue bill and says "Valley Rugby"

Okay, the woodworking stage at 1:00pm.

Hi Wobbly,

I have been around, but not much to report. Too many other projects getting in the way. I have been watching your's and Louis' progress. It's awesome work you're doing.

Whaaooo that's a big boat, Wobbly. I love the picture of you standing next to her half turned over and the one from above. You don't know how easy you make building mine. All I have to do is follow your lead. The paint looks perfect too, very fair, smooth and glossy. I'll raise a glass in your honor...

I plan to place the upper side panels after fairing the bottom. I did what you are suggesting... dry fit the upper panel to mark the overlap...

Billtwo, How much of the fiberglass area cured properly? Did most of it cure with just some spots gooey or visa-versa? Is the fiberglass in the cured areas laying flat or is it wrinkled and bubbly? I don't have any experience at this kind of problem, so I'll spare you my thoughts for now. .. .. .. O...

ks8,

Billtwo has a cured pre-coat on the hull which should help when cleaning up the uncured epoxy.

My first stitch and glue boat was built from a kit. The instructions said to stir the epoxy mix for 2 minutes. I found this to be good advice, although I no longer time it with a clock and found it can be shortened. When I mix the epoxy now, I do a slow count to 60. The mixture becomes a consistent ...
