Bill, now that's a sad story. But no worries, you just have a bit of a mess to clean up before moving on. It sounds like you already had a saturation coat of epoxy on the hull that had cured. I think you can do it either way. On my C17, I'm waiting to put the upper side panels on till after fairing the bottom and adding the skeg and strakes. It's easier to reach across the hull to sand without it.

So I had to stop over the winter too. I started fairing earlier in the spring when we had a dry saturday or sunday. The weather...

Welleficker and MarkC, Here's the tutorial that I used to determine the location of the notches starting from the transom. http://bateau2.com/content/view/98/28/ Also, here's a similar drawing for the C17. My plans were missing the 16 1/2" dimension which is needed as a starting point. I asked ...

To Mr. CO6AKA, I would like to offer you some advice so you are successful at building your boat and feel good about it. First, you are approaching this project at the wrong angle; your thought process is too rigid. Please open your mind to different thinking. This project is boat building and shoul...

I was just reading your "New Installation" page on the Diesel site and the amateur mentioned in it fits me well. I know very little about inboards.

Thanks Joel!

So I made a mistake...

I have some excavation work to do. So bobcats are on my mind!

So Bobtail means engine only, but you do offer all other components too: transmission, stuff box, shaft?

On boatbuildercentral.com/diesel, what does "Bobcat List Price" mean? That's a new term to me. Also, I'm assuming all the engines are by Nannidiesel. The lower horsepower one have a Kubota engine block and the higher HP are Toyota. Is that right? Okay, one last question... Do the dimension...
