I couldn't remember who posted that link, but I did purchase that wheel. Well, it took 2 trys. Someone out bid me in the twlight hours, but the guy placed another on ebay a few weeks later.

It's a very nice wheel. Thank you for the posting the link!

Fly,

I was just looking at your photos. The boat looks great. What a transform. She's so pretty, I'd be afraid to get fish guts on her deck.

Your wood steering wheel looks very familar too. Did you get it from ebay early this winter?

The OB15 is the closest design to a Klamath. The 250lb weight is probably for a very basic interior. I have a 15' aluminum Smokercraft that wieghts 250lb and that's with 3 bench seats and tiller setup. If you made the OB15 with a very simple interior you would probably have a lighter boat then the s...

Here's a link to a blog I've been following. It's a storm report from Richard Woods who designs Cat's in the UK. This report covers a very recent experience of his during a storm where he had to be rescued. Though you sailers might find it interesting. http://www.eboards4all.com/434849/messages/587....

Offshr.. Jacques prefaced the offset consideration with "ideally". My suggestion is just keep it simple and not worry about the offset. It can't be more than a 1/4". Just make the transom pieces all the same and then fill any gaps between it and the bottom or sides with glue (woodflou...

I see two problems with our drawing: - the names of the stringers. The one on the left should be named outboard stringer, 10" from CL. The other one should be outboard stringer, 20" from CL. Jacques, Did you intend to call both "outboard stringers"? Thought this might be a typo.

At this point I'm thinking the OD18 with a small forward cabin, but I'm going to do more researching on building powerboats. The motor well is what troubles me with the C19 or P21's
What do you see troubling about the C19 and P21 motorwell, because the OD18's is quite similar?

I agree that the OD is easier to build then a panga or classic. That's because there are less steps with the flat bottom hull. However, the skills needed to build anyone of these are the same; reading plans, measuring and cutting plywood, building frame, laying out hull panels, working with epoxy, f...
