Transducer Cable
Hello all. It's been a while since I have posted but have been enjoying watching everyone's builds. I am in the process of redoing my FS18 and will get a thread up soon. Most of the process so far has been planning and stripping everything off the boat. I am going to install a GPS/Fish Finder and wa...

Wow! That is going to be a sweet boat. I am enjoying your build and can't wait to see the first low sheer version on the water.

Re: How hard is it to pull start a 2 or 4 stroke 15-25/30 hp?
Agree with the last post. I had a Suzuki efi df20a for three years. Never needed more than 2 pulls to start it. Never kicked back. I did find that with the extra mass of a 11" stainless prop on it would sometimes stall when going into gear when cold. With the standard prop it never happened. T...

If you go into your picture gallery to crop or edit the photos and then save them it will give you the correct orientation. I was using a Samsung phone and my first few pictures were not posted correctly. Once edited in any fashion and saved they will post with correct orientation.

Re: LM18 bow fix
LM18 rc ls Fixing bow on the low sheer round chine LM18. Almost gave up, but looked at all the FS17, FS18 and LM18 posts and my notes from building SandPiper (FS14). Got through it, but I hate fairing.... Following Jeff's build and going to do as much fairing/shaping before laying glass down. 02021...

Outboards Storage and Gas?
If it looks like the motor may sit a few weeks what is the best way to store it? While I'm flushing the motor I usually disconnect the gas towards the end and let the motor run until all the remaining gas in the bowl is used up and it stops. I use the ethanol free gas and haven't really had any issu...

Re: FS12 Build a much improved vessel from my 1st build
The boys have been having a great time with the boat. We upgraded the motor to a 2017 Tohatsu 8. It pushes her right at 21 with both boys which is the perfect speed. I was able to sell my 5hp Mercury and only had to come out of pocket a few bucks. With some extra aluminum laying around we fabricated...

Re: Eric's C21
I agree with Narfi, 8' feet of lumber never looked so small. The scale of the boat definitely gets lost time to time in the pictures. Glad to see you back at it Eric!

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat
[/quote] I like the way the anchors are stored, but would need to be big enough to store two anchors with the complete tackle for each. Then extra stuff as well. I don't want a locker that everything is piled up on top of each other and you have to move stuff around to get to what you are looking fo...
