Re: VG23 New Build
That extra height might be welcome in rough seas to secure “bodies” in the cockpit. As far as water removal, that should be a set of large, through transom scuppers. In a number of small offshore designs the transom resembles Swiss cheese to ensure water vacates quickly. That would be my approach to...

Re: repairing gap in keel/hull
Those gps are a bit much, but yes, they can. It will just add “bad weight” and a lot of fairing work. It’s worth the effort to fiddle with the alignment a bit more. If you want to leave the gap, do yourself a favor and cut some plywood to fill the majority of that gap. Just to fill it up and reduce ...

Re: BASIC electrical system info.
2 amps for an iPhone less the loss of the 12v to 5v converter. Best way though is to hookup your charging system, including a discharged phone, then measure the draw. Then calculate how long you can draw that time the battery before reaching the shutoff voltage for the charger (nominal for most is a...

These are "tuna tubes" that are used for live baits that need more water than live wells can provide. Most of the guys here need them for smaller fish than the big manufactures build the stock systems to support. See a need, fill a need. That bonita was way bigger than the tube was intende...

Nice! The e3s1p is doing well for me with PLA. I’ll paint some pics of “the project” that’s paying for this habit. I’ve been too busy to get back to ABS but I did manage a few calibration cubes in it. The current hang up is 1.0mm nozzle setup. It will make sense when you we the pics/vid of what I’m ...

Re: knottyBuoyz III The TW28 Project

Rollers suck up epoxy and could add bubbles if you roll fast. I think fallguy used notched trowels with small notches to spread the epoxy. Just make sure you keep well away from gel times.drbobopp@gmail.com wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 5:34 pm I also use a roller to apply the epoxy. Any objection to that?
