Thanks Jacques, I really appreciate the input! I am going to stick weigh the FS18. I am planning a round chine, cut-down version similar to Hooter's boat. I am going go with a tee-niny little console and extended decks. Do you see any problem there?

George: yep! That is kind of the idea. But more like the simple box console in the Maverick link that Randy posted. Randy you are close enough to come fish! I wAnt the smallest I can get away with. I know weight is a huge issue for these micro-skiffs so smaller is better. I am shooting for 4".....
