GRAMPS, I just had a thought, if your wondering about storing the FS18 and wanted to make it a 16 to make it easier to store. Why not just get a folding tongue trailer they can be made 2ft shorter. A 16ft boat with a standard trailer will end up being 18ft easy. Lastly don't forget to factor in the ...

I don't understand, lowering the stringers to achieve

Plus the DS15 is a deep V which I’m not to sure about on the flats. It is a nice design though. I can’t wait to hear more about it once a few of the builder finish one up. I know of one that is done. You can ask him how stable it is. Look in the next section, looks pretty stable to me, make it w...

Richard, if I were you....... I would fix what you already have, it would be so much easier than you think. Your idea of wanting to use this hull as a plug it would have to be so cleaned up, and repaired in order to do so you may as well fix it and be done. Its a pretty little boat. Just needs some ...

Yeah no doubt a picture would help. But you may
find it difficult depending on hull shape to get the
plug (boat/mold) to release from the glassed hull.

If its stitch and glue and the hull is shot just keep
the innards and replace all the hull panels and be
done with it.

Well back when I was building it was a huge selling point to these plans that you could build with very few power tools. Just to help prove that point I built as you highlighted. Sanders however, something you do not want to go without. Now however, I'm excited to build my FS and motivated. I've com...

Most likely I'll have a tank made to fit between those frames or I will move them a touch. I will do the calc's to come up with the proper size to get me 10-12gal. The rigging I will do under the gunwales. Only two sets of wires to the rear. A charge wire for the batteries and a sternlight wire. A f...

I was going to bolt it either way. I just was wondering the best way to go about elevating the motor. I thought the pre made Mini Jacker would be easy but was not sure how the off set would effect the boat. CL thinks it may harm the performance..... The least expensive way would be to make a ...
