Got the other hatch installed in the bow bulkhead and test fitted the seats. Doesn't that varnish just gleam?

Will be taping off the floor of the interior today in preparation for the kiwi grip non skid coating to be applied. Will have to scuff sand the varnish that will be coated over.

Had quite a day. Went to the near shore reefs today and fished for sheephead. Didn't catch any sheephead but caught a bunch of black drum and Black Sea bass along with all kinds of other stuff. All was well until we were headed in and my motor quit on me as we were coming into the inlet. Started it ...

Thanks Jeff. Yes, Terulian the seat brackets with the rows of holes are for supporting adjustable seats. I sanded the seats and put the first coat of varnish on them as well. They are stitch and glue plywood, epoxy and fiberglass just like the canoe. The seats and the thwart were the main reason I c...

Got up early and had a marathon sanding session on the interior of the canoe this morning. Burned out another sander. Seems like the motor works but the transmission isn't working.
