Re: PH18 in Midcoast Maine - Rusty Clouser
Rusty, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your decision to build. My PH18 was completed in a leisurely 4 years and launched in 6/17. I love the boat and you will love yours. Casey, referenced in TomW1's message below, generously gave me his strongback. For the most part I set it up similar ...

Re: SWFL FS18--FIRST TIME BUILDER
Welcome and congratulations on your decision to build a boat. May as well enjoy the process no matter the time it takes. It's actually a lot of fun and makes for some great day dreaming as you plan and think ahead. Plus, your 6 mo old might be able to handle a snoopy rod by the time you launch!

Re: FS 17 - Raised Sheer
Re sole flex there will of course be a big difference b/w what you're seeing now vs when it's glued in place and glassed. However, on my PH18 I put a cross-member at stringer height where I thought there'd be the most potential for flex. It's so easy to do that I didn't bother trying to talk myself ...

Re: PH18 Build in North Dallas (PH20)
Lord no, I never made something that beautiful! I did the LB22, Plyak, and SK14. 8O Dougster Then I am trying to remember who's that one was. Hmm.... I'll have to look for it when I have a few mins. Casey Casey, that beautiful PH16 was built by Doug. I got a lot of inspiration from his build. Here'...

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat
I used the hot glue method extensively. It works great and is a lot easier than clamps. Also, it makes it less likely that your epoxy glue will squeeze out than with clamps.

Re: willg's PH18 - "Yepper" launched 6/11/17
Will - have any video you can post? I hope all is well. Casey Casey, no videos yet. I will someday and will post up. All is well, thanks. I moved the boat to a secure storage facility in Matagorda. It has made getting on the water much easier than hauling the boat there and back. A few weekends ago...

Re: willg's PH18 - "Yepper" launched 6/11/17
It's been a while since I've posted on my boat so thought I'd share some info. I don't know what she weighs but suspect she's built comparatively heavy. My 90 etec came with a 17" 3-blade evinrude stainless viper prop. I have a 6" Bob's action jack and with the trim and jp tweaked just rig...
