Re: HMD18 and 4 Stroke Motor
On this boat the lower unit cavitation plate is well below the transom bottom . Like the plan says, long shaft or better yet extra long. A short would be popping out of the water if you're riding swells. I have the extra long. I hope you're not buying a new 15 or 20, 10 hp is more than you need. My ...

Yeah, my supervisor's great. Aspiring Jacques Cousteau - we did our first night dive last week, but all we saw was an octupus. Lucky to be in an area where you can fish and snorkel all year round without a wetsuit!

Re: Guam MM21
Like Larry said, this is a big project, but is moving steadily faster than a speeding glacier...Decks are on and rubrails wrapped with two layers of glass and faired. Glass only to 6" above chines, just epoxy coating above that. On Mine, i put a layer of 6 oz woven on the sides, wrapping from the chine all the wsay to the gunnel. Also 6 oz glass on the soles, decks, and cabin sides/top (but not on the pilothouse roof). I use 6 oz glass all around the motor w...

Re: HMD 18 Longitudinal Bulkheads
Not needed; but I did it on mine. I foamed the outboard compartments; gas tank in for center partion before the cabin, and a large spare gear compartment under sole in the compartment behind that. This one became a rope locker.
