Re: Problems with the NV 23?
I have absolutely looked at Topwater's boat! That is one of the reasons I started considering this hull shape. I actually had a typo in my original post--the DE23 (same hull as the NV, but longer cabin) is what I was thinking of but I typed NV instead (but have now edited to properly read DE). The f...

Problems with the DE 23?
I posted for the first time a few months back and received a ton of great suggestions and recommendations. To make a long story short I have decided that I am going to save up for a while and build my dream boat, rather than a boat I can afford and have space for now but will quickly grow out of. My...

Re: FS19 in Washington State
Absolutely--I just posted a question over the in the main FS19 thread about whether a small cabin is possible on the FS19. I used to have a cuddy cabin, but just picked up an aluminum with a center console to get me through the next couple years while I build the boat I really want. I didn't think I...

Re: FS19 - new design
Jacque, Would a small cabin be possible on the FS19? I know you advise against it on the FS17, but I am wondering if it might be ok on the 19 because it has a little more beam. I am thinking somewhere along the lines of a windshield with a 4 ft. long hardtop. Maybe a closed bow/casting deck with a w...

Re: FS19 in Washington State
Very curious to see how this build goes. What bodies of water are you planning on using it on? I'm located in Seattle and have decided on a FS19 for the Sound and San Juans. Will hopefully get started this winter.

Re: Looking for advice on first build! (OD 18, FS17, or OB17
Thank you all for the help! I am amazed by the all of the advice that people are willing to provide here and I really appreciate it. I have officially narrowed it down to the FS19 and the OD18. Both of those seem just about perfect. FS 19 is slightly in the lead because of how it looks to be capable...
