At least 30 hours of detailing to ensure all end grain of marine ply is epoxy fillet protected, and fully preparing for the next step of the glassing decks, and decks to hull junction, sans air bubbles. I’m with you on end grain GB. The way I did it was that I ran 3-4 layer of blue tape stuck to the bottom (about 1/3-1/2 of the tape width) around my panels. You can try WM Cramer and see if they have any cypress. I think I’d just bolt them and glue with standard construction adhesive (like liquid nails, etc). If you’re really worried about waterproof-ness you could really overkill with some 5200.
