Re: Down East Cruiser 25 power advice?
i dont get it... if it has a 140 HP then why not use it... imho its a lot nicer to listen to a large engine at 1/2 throttle than a smaller one screaming close to redline... but if its for sale less engine then id get a large 4 stroke ... and with a 4 stroke its better to go over powered since it has...

Re: V8-jet RB18/JA17 - slow build
Thank you for all the encouraging words.... i think it will go much easier this time, apart from being a more complicated build of course ... have ordered the 6mm BS1088 plywood, im considering a light weight material honeycomb or balsa core for the floor and thicker panels.. 3/8 plywood just seems ...

I have a 165 horse GRAY marine (buick 215) V8 with a matching hamilton axial flow jet. .. i even found a split duval windscreen for a ho...

Re: Bruce Crandall Flyer Hydroplane
in my opinion it would be a shame to put a diesel in there.... no doubt that a yanmar or vw marine diesel would be safer and and last longer... but in a vintage hydroplane the sound is as important as the looks.... i mean its like a hot rod, it isn't supposed to be safe or practical..... an OLDS/Bui...
