Re: Swift Canoe 16 build

They are excited. It should be fun. It's been almost 5 years since the last build. I am looking forward to putting my own twist on this one. Thinking about 4-6 inch gunwale caps down each side with rod storage underneath. The caps and rod holders will add in a lot of strength. Nice dry storage front...

After I complete a couple projects around the house I am finally going to build another boat. This time it's not for me, it's going to be a boat the kids can use in the canals behind the house and out in the Laguna. I think the SC16 is perfect for this. It's a nice boat but I didn't figure on winning! Thanks to Jacques for the help and the design and to everyone on this f...

Re: How do I measure for an aluminum fuel tank.

Check out my build , I had a 15 gallon tank made for my boat. The fill cap is flush to the deck. Nice to see another flyfisherman here. Where are you located?

Re: K2FS18 - Stats

That is heavy for an FS18. Have you been running her for very long? I am pretty sure mine weighs around 300 pounds and it's quite a bit bigger..

Re: FS18 Build- "Insufficient Funds"

Looks good guys. The air bubbles aren't a huge deal. Someone mentioned using a Dremel and grinding down to them and then filling. That's a good idea if you want to take the time. Some may come out when you sand it down. A tip, lower your strongback. It works great now but once you flip it and start ...

The only problem I see is the width. Other than that it should work
