I realize choice is probably limited... but "Asian"? Can't get much more geographically non-descriptive. "Appears to comply" "Compliance is spotty"?
I've re-written this 7 or 8 times - I am trying to stay very neutral here...

Re: Wax is Slippery!!!
Considering the # of boats I see / hear 'settle' into their trailer on the -highway- here I wouldn't sweat it. Owner drives the boat 'up onto' the trailer, but it's actually wompy-jawed in the trailer - often by a large amount. They leave the bow hooked up and drive away like that. Eventually highwa...

Re: GF18 Flush Bow/Deck
I'm no fan of HOAs. We wanted new and here in a new neighborhood in our budget - you get an HOA. There were three developers building in the neighborhood when we bought our house. Without an HOA it's possible the house next to yours goes up as someone's pink clap-board dream castle. Unlikely, yes bu...

Any word from the suppliers?
You might have to "gently" keep pressing for a response. Oh and we're all pulling for you... Good luck!

I'm going to say that if the boat got you there, catching a fish by wade-fishing next to it officially counts as the skunk chased off

Re: GF18 Flush Bow/Deck
Well today I found my answer thanks to a local dealer. The answer is the average 25HP OB will add 2' to the LOA. So, now in a 19' 8" garage we have 19' 5" of boat and motor. I wonder if the HOA will notice my cut-out in the garage door for the trailer tongue?

Re: AtTheBrink's FS-18 Splashed!
Glad to hear the motor isn't turning you into a redfish cork Didn't figure it would..
I'd still use the lower end of the RPM range. If nothing else your MPG will go way up and your engine life should be fantastic...

Re: GF18 Flush Bow/Deck
If 19' would fit with a motor I'd think about it. FS17 and OB17... I've been looking at both for a LONG time. I like the OB17 because I get the idea I could do modification on the side-seat cockpit arrangement... I've seen one in the pictures. It was done with a windshield and covered bow 'classic' ...
