Re: What is a completed DE23 worth??

I don't know, but that is a fine looking boat. I bet people can't believe that boat is powered by a 60hp outboard! I wish you the best. A good starting point for the price is to add up your complete investment and then adjust the components that depreciate (ie the engine). Unfortunately, your time m...

Re: OD 16 bimini top

yep! shade rocks. The only limitation is that you can easily move around the boat with a larger fish. However, it is a heck of a lot cheaper and lighter than a t-top. Put it as far forward as you can.

Re: Will cheap-o sprayers handle S3 paint?

S3 paint can be funny. I like it a lot, but it is very sensitive to humidity. Sometimes I find it goes on best with thicker coats while other times it goes on best with ultra thin coats. I don't do it often enough to plot it out. I just experiment a bit.

The interior paint job looks good.

Jody, the new windows look great. How secure are the side windows when closed? My concern as a trailering kind of guy would be wind on the highway ripping open the window when trailering the boat. It is hard to tell int the pictures, but the leading edge of the closed window doesn't look recessed. Y...

Re: Paint decisions?

One more question concerning topside only paints. Can I paint the bottom of my boat with a topside finish if she's going to be on a trailer? (I haven't completley decided on paint or graphite for my bottom finish) Thanks for you assistance, Daniel I should warn you though, I have several more paint...

Please keep your posts polite and courteous. The word disgusting does not fit my plans. I think he meant to say digesting, not disgusting  Or..... I believe he meant 'digitizing'. I run into this every day at work where western european collegues often use an 's' in places where we US folks wo...

So....instead of an upswept sheer you are wanting more of a straight (or more straight than the OP21) sheer line like the LB26?

While the experience from building a smaller boat is nice to have, it really is not a requirement. The build may take a little longer, but you will be fine. If you go with something like the C21, build the console first to gain some experience if you are worried about it. You'll get the hang of it q...

I wouldn't do it. I would build an OB17 or similar instead. It may seem like you will save some $$ by rebuilding, but in the long run you don't.
