Yes, mat side goes inwards, to finish the front of the 1708 you can use CSM or 6oz finished cloth.

That is just about where i am. I'll try to post pictures tonight. I was away for a few weeks to Greece and had so much fun that i don't want to go back to my regular work or working on the boat, i got spoiled. :lol: :lol: :lol:

OK, here is the ratio. This ratio is by WEIGHT.

3 parts phenolic micro balloons, 1 part silica and 1 part glass bubbles.

As far as spreader goes i like those plastic ones because you throw them away after use but for final spreading i use a flexible stainless spatula same as the ones you use for plaster. Much better results than the plastic ones. To fair the seams you can make your own putty using epoxy resin, hardene...

2:1 By volume NOT weight.
Example: 4 oz. of the clear (resin) and 2 oz. of the colored one(hardener).

Where did you get your plywood? If marine meranti i hope from Roberts plywood. As far as the foam, the more the better. I have in mine 5280 lbs worth of buoyancy, i feel safer that way. I applied my foam right before i installed the floor, any excess that went above the stringers i saw it down and u...
