Re: Ongoing C19 questions...

Just to show what worked for me in pictures below. I do not have a flat top transom, the motor does fully tilt, there have been no structural transom problems in 7 or 8 years (even with a too-large motor), and the motorwell bulkhead could be moved back, gaining deck space. The sliding may be a thing...

Re: Ongoing C19 questions...

On my OB19 I put something just like this but rated for my HP: https://www.boatbuildercentral.com/proddetail.php?prod=BMS_100-200XXX Mine is about a 5" setback and I could have easily moved the motorwell aft at least that much. This would have made a significant difference in the amount of deck...

Re: Book on 12volt wiruing for boats

I should have been there - happened to be making a Tortugas trip on the same weekend. Life and stuff but we're getting along fine. I'll keep a better eye out for the next one and try to make it happen. To tell the truth I got out of the habit because for a few years it fell on doe season in the Perr...

Re: OB19 in SW FL

Ok, thanks. Maybe 12oz will be enough. I'll recheck after taping the seams. It's just so easy to glass before cutting into lots of little pieces.

Re: OB19 in SW FL

Hi all, long time no post! Anyone with experience skinning over foam? So I've built 3 of these, basically 2ft by 4 ft with 2"of foam and plywood. Great as fishboxes but heavy! Top one's lid is in for repairs. Bottom one is 8years old and combined they've had thousands of pounds of fish in them....

I have this one and liked it pretty well. https://www.amazon.com/Boatowners-Illustrated-Electrical-Handbook-Charlie/dp/0071446443/ref=sr_1_2?crid=W6UT2FS1LWB2&dchild=1&keywords=boatowners+electrical+handbook&qid=1595286566&sprefix=boatowners+electrical+%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-2 It does...

Re: OB19 in the Chesapeake

HI, I built an OB19 a few years back and have about 350-ish hours on it so far. I commonly run 30+ miles in a day of fishing in a fairly exposed sound (pine island sound). I've also run it along the coast from Fort Myers Fl to Chokoloskee - that's 60-ish miles one way. Picking my days carefully for ...

Re: OB19 6 years later, longest trip yet

Late reply here also, but yes, that was me with a 2004 dark blue seacraft 23'. It was a great boat for its type and what I was using it. I trailered it down to a bateau builders meet in the keys once before the OB19 was finished. How's your build going? started yet? (I'll go look around in the other...

Re: OB19 in SW FL

sorry I missed this, not sure what happened to the notifications. Anyway, I'd still raise it a little, in able to then make small wells or a trough or something to allow the boat to be more self-bailing. Overall still very happy, using it probably every other week.
