Re: C17 in New Zealand.

The 60hp E-tec I've already got has an Aluminium prop already. I'll see how it performs first. I'm not sure what the pitch and size are to be honest, but I'll have a look sometime. Okay OWT I have the specs up for your 60HP ETEC and will wait for your initial test runs to see if you need to change ...

Re: C17 in New Zealand.

Re: C21

Agree, a platform/brackeat rides out of the water once the boat is on plane so a 1 degree difference will not make any difference.

Re: Finished boat weight poll

I just finished my C17 hull, and have got it on the trailer for fitting out. The bare hull weighed 420kg according to my method of moving the boat on the trailer and measuring torque at the jockey wheel. I'll get another weight once it's fitted out with motor. That is a heavy C17 for a bare hull. C...

Re: GT23

I would go with the 17oz biax in just one application saving labor and epoxy. This will save you time also. Tom

Re: GT23

Foam is structurally very weak I would suggest no less than 12oz biax on both sides of the structure. Tom

Re: GT23

I suppose that you would recommend the graphite-infused layer of epoxy on the bottom? When should that go on? Seems the instructions recommend fairing, priming, painting and THEN the graphite layer? My assumption would be this sequence: 1) all of the glassing, 2) Runners, 3) Fairing, 4) primer, 5) ...
