Hello Peter,
That really looks great! The boat will be a fantastic fishing platform and your work/attention to detail is outstanding.

Re: OB SKIFF 15 LAYOUT
...there is a curious space (curious to me) between the rear bench seat (with the lid) and the engine. I just didn't know if I had to keep this space due to structural design or due to a designed void that had to be filled with flotation foam etc... /John Hello John, Forgive me for restating what w...

Re: ST21 Who has built one?
Nobody has built the ST21 but since the hull is very close to the original design, performance is not a guess: there are enough examples of the Rescue Minor out there to predict how the boat will perform. Disregard the overly enthusiastic figures given by some and the bad ones coming from those who...

Re: OB SKIFF 15 LAYOUT
Thank you for your response. My question(s) is poorly worded. I believe that I am seeing two storage compartments in a particular picture for this skiff. They are inside the very back of this center console boat. If I build this boat I would like to operate the motor (tiller style) from a bench sea...

Re: FS 17 First build
Thanks David. I'm thinking about using 15% mix and thin the paint about 10 %. Just sounds like it would be right. Not to light, not to heavy and be thin enough to roll out nicely. How rough is the stuff? Is 15% too much? I 'm usally bafefoot in a boat and wouldn't want it to tear up your feet. Thou...

Re: ST21 Who has built one?
Hey Ferrill welcome to the group. The ST21 is a newer design and no one has built AND started a thread. So we don't have any pictures yet. You could certainly break that streak....... Here are some pictures from a guy who built the boat the ST21 was designed after. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums...

Re: ST21 Who has built one?

Perkins 18HP Tight lines, Ferrell Hello Ferrell, To answer your question, no, I don't know of any ST21 builds. There are several minor rescue hulls ...

Re: FS 17 First build
Hello Willie and Linda, When I used the nonskid compound, I added 10-15% to my paint. For Example, a 10 oz batch of paint (1 1/4 Cups = 10/8 cups) would get 1/8 cup of nonskid to make a 10% mix. Double that (2/8 or 1/4 cup) for a 20% batch. I was using S3 LPU which I thinned as per instructions. I b...

Re: ST21 Who has built one?
Hello Ferrel, I have been studying the plans for a couple weeks. I like the design and the shallow draft would work well where I do most of my boating. I have not decided WHEN I would start the build. I know nothing about inboard motor installation but I think I could handle it when the time comes. ...
