Re: Roman´s OB15 (First Time Builder)
Winter brought nearly no snow so far. But the temperatures are still cold. But I still could use the days after christmas for the boat and made some sketches with ideas for the flor-layout. My ob15 will mainly be a pleasure-boat for the summer in croatia, carinthia and the danube river. So my idea i...

Re: OB15 "Shad Dart" First Boat Build-NC
I used a little quick-fair on the bow and then did a second coat of epoxi-raisin and when spring comes there will be a third. Raisin is much cheaper. After that, I hope I will only need a little quick-fair on the keel. But I will have to wait. It´s already freezing outside.

Re: OB15 "Shad Dart" First Boat Build-NC
It looks really nice. And yes, there is a lot of sanding. I have a band sander and a vibrating grinder. Sanding with the first one is more fun, but you have to be really carefull. With the vibrating grinder you cannot do much wrong, but it takes really a lot of time. And as soon as you glass it, the...

Re: Roman´s OB15 (First Time Builder)
Wintertime in Austria. No Chance to work on the boat. But then I found a used motor on the internet, just 30 kilometers (18 miles) from home. The vendor thought a cylinder was gone and wanted 250 Euro (275 USD). It is a Johnson 50VRO, 2-stroke from 1987 with remote control. Together with a friend of...

Wow, the console looks really nice. Will you glue it to the floor or will it be removeble?

Re: OB 15
The console looks good. I kind of learned from you regarding the motor. I will wait with cutting the transom until I buy the motor. Then I can make it perfect. I think extending the cable should be no problem, as long as they are isolated really good.
