Re: Build Thread Allowed?

We built a GF18 for a first boat and it's fine. There are parts and areas of the build that are rough and will need to be refurbished soon but its been used for four years now and it works very good. If you search on here for GF18's under my handle you can find it. I'd post links but have a new Appl...

Re: XXXF20 Build

Either way, I think I will try a Bauman Blaster 4 blade prop next, going to call Monday and see what their thoughts are ... And sell this 3 blade Turbo Prop, pretty useless on jacked up motors! Sounds like a good plan if you can get someone with a clue on the phone. Tried to buy from those guys thr...

Re: yep, another question about "which boat should I build?"

To do Class III water you need a Drift Boat. I don't know of any on this site but I bet if you google that term you can find plans.

Re: A Cracker Built GF18

Larry, could you ask the guy that owns that boat to let me know his schedule so I don't have the Poppin' Cork anywhere near that part of the country. We're thinking of renaming ours "Ugly Dawg".

Re: A Cracker Built GF18

Looks good Larry and sounds like a good hunt, that sleet would send me to the house in a hurry too :!: It looks a bit goofy but really helps when loading our GF18 to have a second set of guide poles to the front. The front end of these boats is light enough that a slight breeze pushes it around, cou...

Re: Interior radius

The Rockwell is a knockoff but so close to the original it doesn't matter, now if you want something real cheap you could go to Harbor Freight and buy one. You use the Rockwell to sand those radi'i ?? Then you use fiaring compound on them and re-sand. I like Quickfair in those spots, good for fillin...

South Florida Sea Levels

Was reading an article on CNN this morning about South Florida seceding from the rest of the state because Jacksonville doesn't pay enough attention to their problem of rising sea levels. Is this for real? The reason I'm curious is on our side of the Gulf the levels have remained constant like...
