I am shooting for something more like the HB "glades skiff". The boats about the same width.

Re: widening the FS18...

Thanks Jacques, I really appreciate the input! I am going to stick weigh the FS18. I am planning a round chine, cut-down version similar to Hooter's boat. I am going go with a tee-niny little console and extended decks. Do you see any problem there?

I am going to try to put at least 12 gal of fuel and a small cooler like a yeti 45. This boat will be per...

CC in a FS 18

I know its a narrow boat and I know next to nothing about building boats... I want to build this boat with little CC with just enough room for a small steering wheel and controls. I want an ETEC 25 or 30 pushing it. Looking forward to the build, my first! I have been doing my research and I am almos...

widening the FS18...

I am just wondering how trouble it would be to give this boat an extra 8 to 12 inches of beam. Is it feasable? Practical? Worth even pondering? I am going to build th boat, hope to have plans ordered in a couple weeks. I will be using this boat for its intended purpose, just looking for maybe so add...
