No glass inplace yet and I have just had the chance to get my ducks in a row to start working on the boat tonight. Larry , thanks for the advice of a deep breath and a wee little nip, but I will pass on the nip for now, I might get too relaxed and really get things off square!!!!!!

Jacques, It is explained, but I have apparently cut something wrong, or something, I will find out tonight when I can get back to it. I have enjoyed this, but I can make mistakes and then something is not right. I will find a way from all of the information that I have received to fix this, and I wi...

Charlie, I was dry fitting them as per plans and attaching them with dry wall screws before turning the boat to stitch the bottom on the hull. Assording to the plans this is to check the symmetry of the hull and then to preserve said symmetry whiole attaching the bottom. Then when you turn it back o...

YD, ks8 and Tim I am trying to square the tops as I am putting on the seat tops before turning the boat to fit the bottom. I began measuring diagonals from front to back corners of the transoms and also from back transom corners to the front of the mid seat frame, both were off about one inch (at th...

problem squaring the hull

Can anyone give me a good tutorial on how to square a hull. I am working on a GF-16 and it is constantly an inch off. If I move things the way I think that they should go, they are still an inch off when I have moved them!!! This is very frustrating to me and I don't know where to go from here. :hel...

It's looking good John. Keep up the good work. I started my GF-16 about two weeks ago and have made some progress, I have a few photos under the builders gallery under the screen name robbiro. I hope to post more in the next day or so. As the other builders have told me, take it one step at a time a...

Tim, When did you put the rod tubes in your boat? Before or after stitching the bottom in? I ask this because I am trying to put them in on both sides with a modified foamed area between the mid and rear seat frames downsized from the seats in your gorgeous ride. I am planning to have a wiring chase...

Nort,
I have finally gotten started with my GF-16. It will be close but if a group does get together on the MS Coast, I would like to at least put some faces with the names that I see along with the good advice I have gotten.
